Lab member wanted!

The laboratory of Applied Enzymology  aims to elucidate enzyme functions at the molecular level through the perspectives of physical chemistry, organic chemistry, and structural biology. Our research also extends to practical applications, harnessing enzymes for analytical purposes and useful substance production.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Investigating enzymes involved in the biosynthesis and metabolism of isoprenoid compounds, especially membrane lipids, in archaea. (more info)

  • Studying enzymes and proteins associated with the synthesis, regulation, and metabolism of vitamins B6 and B9, as well as amino acids. (more info)

We seek motivated individuals who have strong interest in our research topics. If you are interested, please contact us before applying. We welcome lab visits and discussions at any time.
